Will Smith on the relationship with his son Trey: "We fought for years"

On weekends, Will Smith took a family trip to Abu Dhabi. With his son Trey, he attended the Formula One race. Both men were on the track, posing for the photographers and applauding when Lewis Hamilton crossed the finish line. But the relationship between the 50-year-old son and his first-time marriage son has not always been so harmonious, the actor said in a video posted on Instagram.

Smith sits in the bathrobe of his hotel room and tells his adventure with Trey. He regularly does something with each of his children alone, said the 50-year-old.

As photos of Trey and him appear in Abu Dhabi, Smith announced a dialogue with his son, who apparently touched him this weekend. He is not only his father, he told him at 26. "I'm pretty sure you're my best friend."

In the video, Smith wrote that the relationship between him and Trey was not always the following: "After the divorce of his mother, we fought for years, feeling betrayed and abandoned." It was a blessing that the two men returned to a romantic relationship.

Sheree Zampino, the mother of Smith and Trey, had been married for three years. In 1995, the couple divorced. Two years later, actor Jada Pinkett is married with Smith. The couple has two children, Jaden, 20, and Willow, 18.
