Petry: Yes, music has a lot to do with instinctive feelings and general feelings. You can not plan music like a house or a street.

Petry: For me, Nelson Mandela is a model and a hero. But there are also everyday heroes. This can be any of us, if we go through life with open eyes and sometimes help with trifles.
His son Achim follows in his footsteps and is alone as a singer. Are you proud that he followed the same path or would you have wanted a different path for him?
Petry: I'm proud of Bolle because Achim does a great job. He is very diligent and inspires fans in his performances.
Does he ask you for advice on writing songs?
Petry: We talk, discuss and discuss a lot about music and ideas, but in the end everyone has to decide which song is right for an artist.
They also recorded a duet with Heino for his farewell album. How did it happen?
Petry: The title "I breathe" has come to mind at one point in the composition and I immediately had Heino in my head for this song. At the same time, the idea of doing something together for the birthday of Heino came and I accepted immediately.
To be happy, it is love. You have been happily married for more than 40 years. What is your secret to a happy marriage?
Petry: I think it's been well over 40 years, but Rosie knows it better than anyone. We complement each other perfectly and we trust each other. Plus, I'm lifeless, unable to lead a normal life to Rosie.
When you are on tour, does your wife accompany you? Or how do you keep in touch?
Petry: Rosie has been with me for a number of years and kept me from staying while we were on tour. It was very nice and I was able to concentrate on my work.
And if you look at your career and your life, would you do something different?
Petry: No, I think everything went very well for me, both privately and professionally. I have a big family, great-grandchildren and the best woman in the world, what more can I ask for?
