If you have never played the Sims in any of his incarnations, or if you played there years ago but have been busy living your life. real life, here is some good news: The Sims 4 Standard Edition are free for a limited time.
Available for PC and Mac, the game requires an Origin account (also free) and the eponymous client software. (The latter is basically the EA version of Steam.) Once you claim it, it's up to you to keep it, even after the end of the promotion.
The Sims 4 will normally sell for $ 39.99, and that's the price you would currently pay at Amazon.
CNET has not reviewed the game, and I do not play it anymore since version 1, but you can read GameSpot's review, The Sims 4, if you want a preview. Verdict: This is not the best version of the game, maybe, even if it's still fun. And for free, what's not to like?
