The Huawei phone company is directly linked to the Chinese government. Despite British intelligence warnings that this could compromise national security, Britain outsourced it to deploy parts of its 5G network.
The United Kingdom follows in the footsteps of several other European countries that have already concluded similar agreements with Chinese society.
