Tanzania's deputy health minister, Faustine Ndugulile, said the 10 children have been missing since December in the Njombe district of southwestern Tanzania.
Their bodies were discovered last week after the police launched a search operation in the area.
"Until now, we have found 10 bodies and most of their parts and private teeth have been removed," said Ndugulile.
"These murders are related to witchcraft practices because it's the trend of these crimes, where herbalists ask people to get these human pieces for money rituals," he said. added.
The children, some as young as seven, were abducted from their homes last month.
According to Ndugulile, many children have been reported missing by their parents in the community since December, said the Ministry of Health was also investigating the wave of killings.
"We want to identify the authors, but our goal is to quickly educate traditional healers in the region and surrounding communities about the need to stop these acts," Ndugulile told CNN.
The deputy health minister told CNN that these killings were not ritual murders related to albinos that are prevalent in Tanzania and other parts of Africa. Is.
"These killings are not related to albino murders," he said. "But it's very sad because they are children and they do not deserve to be used like that," Ndugulile said.
