Eight years ago, Kate Middleton said "I Do" and officially became the Duchess of Cambridge and a member of the Royal Family.

She shared a sweet kiss with her new husband, Prince William, on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, as thousands of people crowded the streets, clapping and waving flags, to celebrate with them.

The British had an extra day off to mark this unforgettable occasion, and those who did not go to London organized street parties and gathered around the television to watch the historic moment.

Although most of us remember the main parts of the day, some of the most enjoyable moments may have been forgotten – so we reviewed some of the highlights.

It's been eight years since Kate became royal

Hilarious version of Kate and William from You are The One I Want

The couple offered their guests a performance of "You're the One I Want to Grease" during the evening celebrations.

They started singing through the clbadics John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John to the delight of the guests who applauded and applauded in front of radiant newlyweds.

A piercing guest – who left the party at 3:15 am – said, "The Grease number has destroyed the house.

It's a clbadic wedding

"They were holding hands in the middle of the dance floor, smiling, and suddenly the first bars of the song exploded.

"The reaction was just great. Everyone started to applaud the music.

"Wills and Kate started dancing, pointing at each other and uttering words. It was hilarious.

"Once the song was over, they found each other in the arms of each other with mbadive smiles.

"Everyone applauded wildly, shouted and saluted.

"After that, the dance floor was filled and the party went well. It was a fabulous night. The kind of night you will never forget.

Kate's second wedding dress

The beautiful Alexander McQueen dress of the Duchess of Cambridge has been photographed thousands of times from all angles when she married Prince William in 2011.

It inspired a whole generation of brides and immediately brought back fashionable long-sleeved lace.

But Kate has changed beautiful dress and in a second dress for the evening celebrations.

Duchess of Cambridge
After impressing the world in her Alexander McQueen wedding dress, Kate changed her number similar to that of the British fashion brand, with a fur bolero and an ornate waist.

Kate is open for another beautiful creation by Sarah Burton: a white satin dress with a diamante belt.

Kate finished the look with a bolero angora cardigan and had a brand new hairstyle for the evening – as you do …

And she was not the only member of the royal family to be ready to party all night.

Prince William changed his outfit and tuxedo as Pippa Middleton dropped her tight dress for a glamorous number.

The speech of Prince Harry's best man

According to many guests, one of the highlights of this prestigious event was Prince Harry's speech, Best Man.

A guest revealed, "Harry only said a few words, but it was so emotional. The whole room burst into applause.

Wearing a fez hat, Harry began his speech by standing on the top table and describing the newlyweds as the "Dude and Duchess".

While the guests were chuckling, he made fun of William's headline and said he felt sorry for Kate marrying a "bald man."

And there was hardly a dry eye when Harry turned to William and said, "Our mother would be so proud of you."

And how he made his new sister-in-law cry …

According to royal author Katie Nicholl, her speech also included moments of emotion.

She said, "It was affectionate, warm and funny and deeply touched William.

"The speech was peppered with Harry's sense of clbadic humor." He had shouted at his brother: "William had no romantic bones in the body before meeting Kate." so knew that it was serious when William suddenly started cooing on the phone Kate & # 39;

"Famous for his imitation, Harry then imitated his brother calling Kate" Babykins ", to make the guests laugh.

"When he said that the couple's romance that lasted ten years was his inspiration, there was a shy smile from Chelsy, while Kate shed a tear."

A very fast first dance

According to the guests, William has become a little shy about the first dance.

William and Kate took the floor arm in arm for their slow waltz at 10:30 pm, to the cheers of the 350 guests at the evening reception.

Popstar Ellie Goulding played at the evening reception

Ellie Goulding played her version of Your Song by Elton John, but Wills would have asked her to move to a faster number.

The dance lasted only 30 seconds.

Table names

Instead of using old boring numbers, Kate and Wills decided to use place names that were special to them for their tables.

These included Lewa after Lewa Downs, where the groom had spent his sabbatical year, from Tetbury, a town near Charles County residence, Highgrove, and villages near their Anglesey residence.

There was also, of course, a table at St Andrews – the university where the couple met.

An unfortunate maid of honor

Being a bridesmaid can always be a difficult task, especially for small children.

It is hardly surprising that one of Kate's little badistants seems to have had enough of greeting the sympathizers on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

With thousands of people on the streets to catch a glimpse of the couple, it would have been noisy up there – too noisy for William's goddaughter, Grace van Cutsem.

It was as fun as that

While the couple enjoyed their famous kiss on the balcony, we could see the adorable little Grace cover her ears with her hands with a scowl.

Because of her position on the balcony, Grace's unhappy face appears in just about all their kisses pictures. Oops!

The sweet comments of Prince Charles on Kate

The groom's father took advantage of his speech to praise his new daughter-in-law, the caller "William's soul mate".

A friend told the Telegraph: "William spoke very well, but it was Charles who praised his daughter-in-law.

"He [Prince Charles] said that they were really lucky to have a girl like her. The speech really brought a tear to the eye. She was a delightful child and is now a delightful young woman. "

Another said that Charles had made some jokes: "The Prince of Wales made jokes about his bald head and bald head of his son, claiming that it must be hereditary.

"He was slightly standing on a stand, so he was looking at William to his left, William smiled, he was amused, Kate was also amused."

The second wedding cake – a special request from Wills

In addition to their superb "official" wedding cake, the couple had a second more personal, one of William's favorites.

The chocolate cookie was manufactured by Paul Courtney, of McVitie's, who was described as "rich, indulgent and creamy with a very lively texture drawn from Rich Tea biscuits".

Prince Harry came to see Paul while he was putting the finishing touches to the cake – and it was almost a disaster.

Speaking about an ITV documentary invitation to a royal wedding, he said: "We were literally going to just put the top on and of course, at that point is like – oh – a collective sigh of relief, I think we did, it looks fantastic.

The second cake was very different from their official

"And I remember Harry jumping in and he went to see him very enthusiastic.

"Harry was what you were waiting for, just a joke.

"And he walked over to her, very enthusiastic," Oh, wow fantastic, is this chocolate? "

"And he took a piece of chocolate and ate it, then he pretended to put a box, with the decoration of the top, and we said to ourselves:" Oh no … c & rsquo; Was fun but a moment of heart failure. "

The party

Harry was one of the last to leave and led a group of guests to the Goring hotel for a party.

A car driven by Royal Protection Officers dropped Princess Beatrice and Eugenie with Harry's girlfriend, Chelsy Davy.

It is only around 5 o'clock in the morning that the last rainy-eyed party-goers finally called the night.

On leaving Goring yesterday, Tony Ainsworth, a Middleton family friend, said, "I went to bed around 1 am, but I heard guests stumble at 5 am, returning from the palace, which has woken me up.
