A waste management company, Zoomlion Ghana Limited, will create this year 10 mobile composting and recycling plants and 150 plastic recycling plants in different parts of the country.
Five of the composting plants are nearing completion and will start operating by the end of January 2019.
This initiative is intended to enable the country to deal effectively with its waste management problems and the logic of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's vision of making Ghana its own and Accra the cleanest city in the world. Africa by the end of 2020.
The executive chairman of the Jospong group of companies, Mr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, announced it at the group's annual conference in Gomoa Fetteh, near Kasoa, in the central region of the country.

He said Zoomlion's relentless efforts for Ghana to solve its waste problems were evident in the establishment of the Accra Composting and Recycling Plant (ACARP), the United States Oil & Gas Association, and the Ministry of Agriculture.
