He said that the snake vaccines purchased in Tamale are not administered free of charge to patients because they had to buy them.
Since the hospital started using the snake vaccine that they bought in Tamale this year, they have not registered any deaths following a snake bite in the facility, although they have recorded about 20 cases since January 1st.
The Medical Superintendent stated that even though malaria was the most common admission to Wa West District Hospital, the treatment of snake bites had become a major challenge, not only for the hospital but also for the hospital. regional hospital, which also lacks effective vaccines.
