10 Savelugu Miss BECE students during pregnancy | Social

Approximately 10 candidates for the Basic Education Certificate Exam (BECE) from the municipality of Savelugu can not take this year's exams due to pregnancy.

The supervisors of the various test centers in the municipality told DGN Online that they had hired the families of the pregnant girls still in town to encourage them to leave their children at home and take the exams, but to no avail.

Supervisors stated that most of the pregnant girls had moved to the south of the country to start the kayaking business.

This was announced by Dr. Kwabena Bempah Tandoh, Deputy Director General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), in a visit to the review centers of the municipality of Savelugu.

The municipality of Savelugu has a total of 2,034 candidates for this year's Basic Education Certification Exam.

A total of 1,242 boys, 792 girls, 7 centers and 45 schools are in the municipality.
