13-year-old girl traumatized after years of defiling by her father

Madam Adjowa Bawa, mother of Adjowa Adjeiwaa, 13, calls on the public to help her daughter regain consciousness after being defiled and raped.

This follows several years of rape by her father.

The 53-year-old man was taken into custody by the Ofaakor Circuit Court in Kasoa in Awutu Senya East Municipality for allegedly defiling and raping his 13-year-old biological daughter.

Suspect Kwabena Nkrumah was arrested after the victim complained to the mother of pain in the abdomen from the persistent act.

Recounting the incident, the mother, Adjowa, told reporters that this was the third time the husband had committed such an act and that it demanded justice.

According to the victim’s mother, the suspect raped his stepdaughter and then raped his niece who was staying with them, a situation both settled out of court.

The victim would be traumatized and would develop psychological implications.

The suspect was taken into custody on March 29, 2021 and is expected to reappear in court on April 12, 2021.

According to Adjowa, she is financially unable to follow through on her final judgment in court. Given this, however, she fears that the suspect (Kwabena Nkrumah) will cause further damage to the family if left unchecked, calling on the public to help the victim and deliver justice.
