Fleur's father, Ashley Edwards, was the first to discover his lifeless body. Vandenbrouck said that she had tried CPR but that Fleur was already dead.
"She loved to sleep and slept all night. She was the model baby. She was in our room. It is his father who found him first. I caught her and I did CPR, but I knew that as soon as I looked at her, she was gone, "Vandenbrouck said at the exit.
The death of Baby Edwards was a mystery to the doctors because the medical reports showed no infection. However, a posterior autopsy in a children's hospital revealed that she had died from Strep Group B infection.
His mother said that it had been difficult to cope with the loss. "We thought we were dreaming. For a few weeks, I tried to wake myself up.

The family is trying to educate the public about the disease that killed Fleur.
Group B streptococcal infection
Group B Streptococcus (GBS) is a bacterial infection caused by microorganisms in the bad or rectum of a pregnant woman. According to the American Pregnancy Association, 25% of healthy women have this bacteria and most of them show no symptoms.
It is not a badually transmitted disease and a baby can contract this infection at birth from the mother's reproductive tract. It can cause serious illness, including sepsis, pneumonia, meningitis, or seizures.
In the case of Baby Flower, the bacteria may have been transmitted by a woman who used the toilet and did not wash her hands before holding the baby at the fundraiser.

Awareness and fundraising campaign
Baby Flower's birthday will take place at the Foxhole Community Center on May 12 from 11 am to 11 pm and 15h
The fundraiser will include four bouncy castles, a golf course, mascots, a DJ, children's artists, make-ups, hair weaves, glittering tattoos, a forestry school, and a giant draw of several hundred of books, according to Devon Live.
