At least two people have been confirmed dead after a church building collapsed during an ongoing religious service on Saturday.
The building is said to be the Church of the Holy Spirit in Taraba State in Nigeria.
According to some reports, the building collapsed following a heavy downpour that lasted for several hours.
The deceased were both men and women while several other church members suffered injuries to varying degrees.
Confirming the report, council chairman Shiban Tikari said he was aware of the incident, but had yet to visit the area. He did, however, confirm that two people were killed in the crash.
