2019 Emmy Awards nominations: which shows and which stars did not succeed?

"The Big Bang Theory" did not come out with such an explosion after all.

CBS's successful sitcom, which ended earlier this year, was totally rejected in Tuesday's Emmy nominations in all major categories. Even Jim Parsons, who has been nominated six times (and four times) for the lead role in a series of comedies, has failed to qualify. Only the long-time director of the series managed to win a single nomination.

"Big Bang" was not the only program not to be missed among fans. Emma Stone was certainly waiting to be recognized for her role in Netflix's "Maniac" and George Clooney, who starred in Hulu's "Catch-22", was also left behind.

But before the fans win against the stars on the nomination list, they have to check that their favorites are even eligible. Netflix's "Stranger Things" and HBO's "Big Little Lies" are untraceable, but that's because they've been published well beyond the deadline. This also applies to Hulu's "The Tale of the Maid".

Julia Louis-Dreyfus was among the actors and actresses who won the title of leading actress in a humorous series each year from 2012 to 2017. She had to break her series in 2018 because the series was paused then that she was fighting bad cancer.

Sterling K. Brown for "This Is Us" and Emilia Clarke for "Game of Thrones" are also among the nominees.
