2021 Ryder Cup scores and results: live coverage, standings, standings today for Day 3 singles

[ad_1]

Two days are on the books with one to go to the 43rd Ryder Cup, and the United States is positioned as a big favorite to take home the biennial trophy. After taking a 6-2 lead on Friday, the Americans continued their momentum on Saturday with a combined 5-3 between the two sessions and now take an 11-5 lead in Sunday’s singles. This is the biggest lead for the United States entering the Ryder Cup singles competition since 1975.

The Americans have claimed they will enter the final day with no celebrations in mind, but no team in Ryder Cup history has ever overcome a deficit as large as the one the Europeans are watching. (However, it should be noted that a 10-6 deficit was overcome twice in singles.) Sunday is shaping up to be a good singles game that could well turn from competition to crowning glory. The United States will do their best for the final day and most of their players will be favored against the Europeans as they try to hold onto.

CBS Sports will be with you throughout Sunday, updating this story with the latest scores, analysis and singles highlights from Day 3 of The Ryder Cup.
