LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) – Three people were charged in the death of a Kentucky toddler who was attacked by a dog.

The media reports that the boy's mother and dog owners shared the Louisville home where Isaiah Geiling, age 2, was attacked. Jennifer Geiling, twenty-five, was charged with irresponsible homicide on Tuesday. Dog owners Jack Charping, 50, and Sharon Charping, 53, were charged with second degree manslaughter.

Louisville police responded to a report about a child in the mouth of a dog in May and the injured Isaiah was hospitalized. The authorities said that Isaiah had died later from a blunt wound.

Geiling and the Charpings are scheduled to appear in court on Monday. Louisville Metro Animal Services spokeswoman Teeya Barnes told the Courier Journal that the dog was still in quarantine.
