Three girls were burned to death in a fire in BBC, a suburb of Tema.

A wooden kiosk caught fire in the area, resulting in the untimely death of three girls, DGN Online gathered.

The children were identified as Bridget Delali Hammond, 10, Winifred Hammond, 9, and Parisah Adewumi Hammond, a two-year-old kindergarten student from Mexico's elementary school.

They would have closed the school and decided to take a nap in the wooden structure where they would normally sleep in the afternoon.

According to an eyewitness, the two-year-old girl was called to ask for help, which would have attracted spectators.

"We had not heard of Bridget and Winifred, who were attending the same grade 4 primary school at Don Bosco School and were also sleeping in the booth when the incident occurred. "said a witness.

The incident, said the witness, began around 3:30 pm, but not everyone could stop him from spreading.

The parents of the children and some of them left the house running in search of the help of neighbors when the fire broke out, but the efforts made to find the children did not succeed, the children being trapped and burned to death.

The charred bodies of the children were deposited at the morgue of the general hospital of Tema for conservation and autopsy.

Timothy Effum, deputy regional commander of the Ghana National Fire Service, told DGN Online, via his mobile phone, that he received a distress call last Thursday that a fire broke out.

"After receiving the information, we quickly dispatched a fire truck to the scene to control the fire. By doing what we call a redesign, we discovered three bodies, all girls and children, "according to Timothy Effum (DO1).
