The High Court of Accra dismissed three journalists accused of stealing the hubbub of modern Ghana.

Samuel Adjafor Abugri, editor of Modern Ghana, an online media platform, Modern Ghana journalist Emanuel Britwum, and Peace FM journalist Emmanuel Obeng Manu, have been charged with theft and unlawful access to electronic records.

The three men were dragged to court Friday at 1:30 pm, but, surprise, the prosecutor, Stella Ohene Appiah, chief attorney general, submitted a request for discontinuance.

According to her, the state did not intend to pursue the case any longer.

As a result, Judge Afia Serwah Asare-Botwe, president of the court, released the defendants and struck the case out of the role.
