3-legged dog adopted by the veterinarian who lost a leg in Iraq

Scooter is a rescue dog. A Tennessee fisherman found him seriously injured near a creek. When he finally arrived at an animal shelter, the doctors had to amputate his leg. He now lives happily with Joshua Ferguson, who says he and Scooter understand each other too well. As a veteran, Ferguson has gone through his own challenges.
