Three people are under the influence of the police for attempting to drown two masons in Danfa, near Accra, after accusing them of theft.

The masons, Kwaku Akorli, 51, and Hope Hortor, 28, were tied to bamboo sticks and immersed in a manhole filled with water after being charged by the owner 's property. a construction site where they had stolen iron bars.

They were however rescued by Adoteiman police following distress calls by some concerned.

She added that the two men had been found tied separately to the bamboo sticks hanging over the lookout at the construction site where they were working on the construction of a private building.

Ms. Tenge revealed that when the two men were rescued, they were very weak and had difficulty catching their breath, their clothes soaked in water.

They were taken to Danfa Health Center for medical treatment.

According to the deputy police superintendent, investigations by the police revealed that the cruel act had been committed by the owner of the building under construction, with the help of two other people.

The owner of the building, Manbadeh Adzroku, and his two accomplices, Victor Harrison and Collins Amoako, have since been arrested by the police.
