The 37 Military Hospital will close its medical and emergency unit (MEU) to the general public from Thursday January 14 to Thursday February 4 in order to conduct a fumigation exercise.
This was announced in a statement signed by the hospital’s director of public relations, Col. E. Aggrey Quarshie.
He explained that the closure became necessary to allow the authorities to undertake a fumigation exercise to remedy any infestation of the unit.
Colonel Quarshie also noted that hospital authorities have taken the necessary steps to ensure that patients already admitted are not affected.
The hospital therefore asks the general public to redirect all medical and urgent cases to other health facilities during the period.
