The need for Arsenal winger has been clear for some time – and it seems that they have decided to attempt to sign one before the transfer window next Thursday.
The fallout of Friday night's loss against Manchester United in the FA Cup still raging, it was reported that the Gunners had made an approach to land Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan.
The news comes from David Ornstein at the BBC, which claims that an approach has been made on a possible loan agreement for the Croatian international, with an option to buy for 35 million pounds sterling in the summer.
It was claimed that Inter Milan was open to Perisic to be able to bring in Yannick Carrasco, the Belgian winger who is currently playing in China for Dalian Yifang, also linked to Arsenal.
As you can imagine, the report provoked a huge reaction from supporters of Arsenal – who seem very divided on the potential transfer.
There are many people who would like to see Perisic at Emirates, but there is an equal number who believe that bringing in a player who turns 30 in early February will do nothing to help an aging team.
