Surgeons from University College Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital performed the operation.
They removed the fetus from Mrs. Simpson's belly, repaired her spinal cord, and then replaced her for the rest of the pregnancy.
Mrs. Simpson is the fourth mother of the United Kingdom to undergo the operation.
"I've had some of the most recognized surgeons from around the world from University College London Hospital and Belgium who took care of me," she wrote on Facebook.
"We were successful, her injury was small and she underwent surgery as you would not believe," she added.
