4 Ayalolo buses reduced to ashes at STC workshop in Kumasi

Four (4) Ayalolo buses were burnt to the ground at the Ashanti regional workshop of the State Transportation Corporation (STC) in Kumasi.

A source who told the unfortunate incident to Kumasi-based Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo explained that the fire engulfed buses at around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday evening.

According to the source, the drivers parked the buses and drove off and later saw smoke coming out of one of the vehicles.

“We couldn’t control the fire and it was transferred from one bus to another. We called the fire department to help with the situation. When they arrived, the fire had engulfed and burned the four buses ”

The cause of the fire is not yet known, but it is suspected that an electrical fault may have started the fire

It took the intervention of firefighters to bring hell under control.

In the meantime, an investigation has been opened into the matter by officials from the Ghana National Fire Service who managed to save the situation.
