Four people suspected of evangelism died Saturday after the capsizing of their boat on Lake Volta.
Officials from the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) who confirmed the incident said that six more people had been rescued.
Another person remains to find.
NADMO stated that the boat was carrying the 11 people suspected to belong to the Assembly of God Church traveling from Senchi to Old Akrade, in the Asuogyaman district, in the east of country, to be evangelized.
Lilian Okai, NADMO Public Relations Manager in Asuogyaman, said the pbadengers were not wearing a lifejacket.
"A few meters after they left, they realized that the water was entering the boat, so they decided to come back but unfortunately the boat capsized," Joy told Kofi Siaw. News.
The remains of the deceased were transported to the mortuary of VRA hospital.
Those who have been rescued are also treated in the same health facility.
