Accidents on the highway led the Public Security Bureau (BPS) to conduct an investigation. The investigation revealed that poor urban planning and meager amenities had resulted in tragic deaths on the road.

According to the Executive Director of the Public Security Bureau (BSP), Nana Yaw Akwada, the government urgently needs to reclbadify the highway to turn it into an expressway.

1. Vehicles crossing the highway daily

The BPS survey revealed that, for example, more than 65,000 vehicles cross the highway daily, which is one of the leading causes of accident on the highway.

2. Poor supervision

Poor supervision by the authorities is one of the causes of motorway accidents. According to the BPS, the failure to comply with the non-compliance with the rules of road safety and inefficient control of competent authorities on the use of the so-called motorway.

3. Potholes
