An employee of a music store who blamed an elderly man because she had seen him wearing a Make America Great Again hat in front of a California Starbucks disappeared after his dismissal.
Rebecca Mankey, of Palo Alto, did not return to her husband's home Friday after a trip to Lake County, according to the sheriff's office.
Her mobile phone was placing her for the last time in Aberdeen, Washington, and desperate friends posted her online to help her find her.
Melissa Demyan wrote on Facebook: "My friend Parker has disappeared. It has been more than 24 hours since anyone has seen or heard it. I saw her for the last time while she was leaving Lake County to go home yesterday.
"Parker, if you're reading this: we love you so much and we just want to know you're safe. Please let us know that you are fine!
Mankey, 46, would have described the 74-year-old Jewish Trump supporter as "racist" and "Nazi" before bragging about her online attack earlier this month.
In a long post on Facebook, she confessed to shouting to Victor and asking anyone who saw this man to "confront him please."
The job was spotted by his boss, which eventually led Mankey to lose his job.
The old Jewish man (left), who called himself Victor, claimed to have been convicted of wearing a MAGA hat and supporting Rebecca Mankey's president Donald Trump (right).
Mankey has since disappeared after being fired from his job and receiving death threats.
The woman, who eventually became known as Rebecca Mankey, admitted in a long Facebook post that she had been shouting after Victor and had called everyone who spotted this man to "s & # 39, please confront him ".
Sgt. Aaron Clark said, "We have nothing to suggest that she is at risk. We determined with the people we spoke to that she was wanting voluntarily. & # 39;
In an interview with KTVU on April 3, Trump's defender – who gave his name to Victor – said that people who criticized the wearing of the red hat were suffering from "Trump Disorder Syndrome".
He added, "If you can not tell the difference between a Make America Great hat and a hat that's a Nazi hat or a Ku Klux Klan hat, I'd say you're upset."
"This woman came and not only started screaming after me, she turned to the Starbucks audience and said," Hey, everyone is coming here! This guy is racist! This guy hates browns!
Victor, who wore a cap on his head under his MAGA hat, said the woman also called him a Nazi.
In the message on his now disabled page, Mankey admitted the dispute: "I shouted at him. I ordered all of Starbucks to shout at him that it was wrong to hate brown people … I gave him more names and I told him to call the police.
Rebecca's latest cell phone placed her in Aberdeen, Washington, and desperate friends posted her online to help her find her.
Rebecca Mankey posted this photo of Victor on Facebook with his abusive message in his account, which has since been disabled.
& # 39; He would not call the police, so I called him wimp, he collected his stuff to leave. I followed him to the registry while he was complaining about me, then I chased him out of Starbucks by shouting him out of the f ** k of my city. & # 39;
She later wrote in a comment that she "would shame her publicly in town and try to get him fired and kicked out of every club he's in."
Mankey was also forced to resign as co-chair of Bayshore Progressive Democrats.
They wrote: "As a result of the publicity surrounding her actions, she and her family members were now asleep (their personal contacts were revealed to encourage threats and harbadment) on right-wing social networks and channels. Internet.
"She and her family have received multiple death threats and other threats of injury and harm, and are losing their jobs."
Palo Alto police said the two sides had not filed a report on the incident. But Mankey was fired from his job at Gryphon Strings, a guitar sales and repair shop, after the store owner was notified of the incident.
"Gryphon does not believe that anyone should be harbaded or subject to hate speech, regardless of their beliefs.
Rebecca Mankey admitted in a long message on Facebook that she had shouted at Victor and had called everyone who saw this man to "please confront him"
Richard Johnson, the owner of the store where Mankey worked, said that she had been fired because her actions were at odds with her beliefs and values.
"Music has always brought people from diverse socio-political backgrounds," said the store in a statement released earlier this week.
"We would like to make it clear that the opinions expressed and the actions taken by the employees are not indicative of how we conduct ourselves at the store and we hope to continue serving our customers across the country with respect and universe nearly 50 years of age. .
The store's owner, Richard Johnson, said the shares conflict with his own values.
Police in Palo Alto said that Victor had not communicated with them about what had happened and that they therefore had no evidence of a crime.
Mankey reportedly contacted the police following alleged threats because of his comments on social media.
Anyone with information about where they are should call the police at 707-263-2690.
