My Hero Academia is well known for its different classes with separate groups of students. Some of the 1-B class might even be able to switch to 1-A.
Every year several new animated series are gaining audiences and becoming the next big phenomenon, but My Hero Academia success has remained strong throughout its four impressive anime seasons. My hero university follows the adventures of Izuku Midoriya and his company as they train to become professional heroes and it is an exciting evolution of the kind shonen standard.
My hero university focuses on class 1-A students, but the individuals of class 1-B are also important characters, although they receive less attention. In fact, several Class 1-B personalities would make curious additions to the 1-A family.
ten Would fit in: Shihai Kuroiro is an intimidating student with endless potential
A look can be anything in the superhero world and Shihai Kuroiro is a grade 1-B student who looks like maybe more appropriate in a Grudge sequel or Japanese horror movie. Kuroiro’s Black Quirk is very present with his weird appearance. Not only his Extremely versatile and dangerous Quirk, but Kuroiro is a savvy fighter who can instill fear in his opponent before he’s even done anything. He is a valuable asset and fills a niche that is currently unfulfilled in Class 1-A.
9 Wouldn’t fit in: Manga Fukidashi is more of a gadget than an ally
Manga Fukidashi is one of the most unusual students in all of UA High, and he’s someone who hasn’t gotten much attention due to his eccentricity of powers. Manga Fukidashi’s Comic Quirk allows him to create giant bubbles and onomatopoeias that “attack” reality. It is a very reckless skill and Manga’s appearance is also very unconventional. All of this leads to someone who stands out in a negative way and has a Quirk it’s too weird for its own good.
8 Would Fit: Neito Monoma has an obsessive will to fight alongside Class 1-A
Neito Monoma has a very normal and unpretentious look as far as class 1-B students go, but that’s part of the reason why it would fit in class 1-A so well. Monoma can blend into his surroundings when needed, and his Copy Quirk allows him to replicate whatever he faces, which is an endlessly useful skill.
Most importantly, Monoma has an obsessive drive to conquer Class 1-A and be the best, which is the same kind of attitude some of the top 1-A students have.
7 Would not fit in: Juzo Honenuki feels redundant among the Class 1-A elite
Under different circumstances, Juzo Honenuki might actually be a great material for UA High’s 1-A class, but with their current student body, it doesn’t help much. Honenuki is a complex mix of emotions, which plagues him as a pragmatic fighter who is not stubborn, but he can still be incredibly competitive and does not suffer from any fools. This leaves Honenuki feeling a lot like Bakugo and two individuals like that in 1-A would be overkill. Honenuki’s Softening Quirk also seems unnecessary since 1-A also covers the opposite spectrum of this capacity.
6 Would Fit In: Togaru Kamakiri Has Raw Fighting Spirit To Advance Class 1-A
Togaru Kamakiri is not the most subtle student in Class 1-B given that he is basically a humanoid praying mantis, but Kamakiri uses him to his advantage. Kamakiri and his razor sharp quirk are a deadly combination and it works like the Class 1-B version of Bakugo. Kamakiri is fiery and impulsive but in the best possible way. He’s someone who has a lot more friends than enemies, but he’s also not afraid to speak his mind. He’s another hero who can easily intimidate his opponent and it would be a dream to get him to work with Bakugo.
5 Wouldn’t fit in: Hiryu Rin’s quirk and attitude doesn’t add much to the table
UA High’s 1-A class is full of powerful and memorable students where there don’t seem to be many weak ties between the lot. This means that all class 1-B students have to be especially noteworthy and Hiryu Rin is definitely someone who retreats into the background.
Hiryu Rin and his Scales Quirk give him minor protection at the cost of an intrusive appearance. Rin is committed and brings a positive attitude to combat, but he’s not unique enough to stand out, even among his own class.
4 Fits: Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu is the right type of mesh wild type with 1-A
Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu is a weird UA high school student who initially seemed like a bit of a joke, but he is increasingly relevant and appreciated by audiences. Tetstetsu’s Steel Quirk hardens his body in a way that isn’t exactly unique, but it’s a phenomenal defense system against most other oddities. Tetsutetsu also spent a lot of time with Class 1-A and his explosive, unfiltered demeanor makes him an acquired taste, but someone with enough personality to fit in with Class 1-A peers.
3 Would not fit in: Kojiro Bondo lacks the confidence that leads to Class 1-A
My hero university repeatedly teaches that it’s a disastrous idea to judge a book by its cover and Class 1B Kojiro Bondo certainly talks about this rule. Kojiro has a very intimidating and inhuman appearance, but he’s actually quite nervous. My hero universityThe Joint Training Arc shows how sweet Kojiro can be, which will do Class 1-A a disservice. Additionally, Bondo’s Cemedine Quirk produces a sticky liquid substance to trap individuals, but several other Class 1-A quirks cover the same territory.
2 Would fit in: Itsuka Kendo already feels like an unofficial member of Class 1-A
If there is a class 1-B student who got a position with class 1-A, then it should be Itsuka Kendo. Kendo is an extremely friendly personality who acts as a bridge between the two classes. Kendo is friendly with Class 1-A and has made allies with many students, even though they’re not technically on the same team. At the same time, Kendo is also not blind to his own teammates. There is a strong and confident synergy between Kendo and everyone else. The oddity of Kendo’s fist is also just useful enough not to seem redundant among other Class 1-A powers.
1 Would not fit in: Nirengeki Shoda is still a few years away from becoming his
Not all heroes are immediately a professional and sometimes it means even more to the individual when this journey to excellence takes a little more work than usual. Class 1-B’s Nirengeki Shoda could potentially stand out, but he still feels too powerful for a beginner. Shoda’s Twin Impact Quirk causes an attack to repeat, but with increased force. It’s a strong ability, but it’s the humble nature of Shoda that drags him and himself down. He doesn’t have the proper confidence that is present in Class 1-A and is still stuck idolize some students, like Iida and Ashido.
