5 things we noticed inside the training camp of the Liverpool Champions League final

Liverpool is training in Marbella before the biggest game of his season: the final of the Champions League against Tottenham.

The Reds enjoyed the Spanish sun all week long, worked hard and of course enjoyed local cuisine.

On Thursday, the team had dinner after a workout before returning to the gym to improve their physical condition. Here are five things we noticed during the lunch break.

1. Safe hands even at lunch time

He is the man from Liverpool Mountain between the sticks.

He is the goalkeeper of the club, who has recorded 21 serene bleaches in the Premier League this season.

Alisson is gloved

And it turns out that he also takes hygiene very seriously.

So seriously in fact that he chose to wear gloves – thankfully, not those of goalkeeper – while stacking salad on his plate this Thursday at lunch time. Brilliant.

2. He is happy to be back in the mix

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been injured in the ACL for a very long time.

But he's back in the lineup before the final.

"Having traveled the field last year, I am happy to be in this situation," said the midfielder on Thursday.

"Dreams are made to have perhaps a role to play in Madrid, but it's not about me, but to make sure that whoever is on the ground does the work for the club and for the team.

"If I could participate, it would be great, but being in the know, being fit and healthy is also good for the minute, I could not get a lot of minutes, but I'm happy just coming back. "

Oxlade-Chamberlain celebrated his return with sophisticated sunglbades.

3. "This is the salad, right?"

Dejan Lovren.

It's Liverpool's defender who often divides opinions, but his heart is definitely in the right place.

Dejan Lovren opts for the healthy option

On Thursday, he opted for a healthy lunch composed mainly of salad.

Although he seemed slightly confused as he piled green leaves on his plate, narrowly avoiding the potted plant – which mingled rather with the salad – hanging over the table.

4. Meat for the big man

Jurgen Klopp looked on Thursday, as usual, with his usual calm.

But despite his casual attitude, the German certainly has an heir to authority – what the kitchen staff noted.

A big portion for Liverpool boss

As Liverpool's boss headed for the buffet, pbading in front of Alisson with his sophisticated gloves, leaving Lovren frowning at an iceberg lettuce, he headed for the MEAT.

Well, we gave a big slab, if we say it ourselves.

5. Stack it on Jordan, stack it

And finally, to Jordan Henderson.

While the other Liverpool players were politely walking around the buffet stuffing tiny pieces of salad on their plates, Hendo had other ideas.

Jordan Henderson does not joke

Forget the small portions, forget the rabbit food, the English international channeled his home country and piled tears on his plate as he was in an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Well, he's a club captain after all.
