Savannah-area deputy minister Samuel Yeyu Tika revealed that 5,000 people have been employed by the public sector.

According to a report from Ghanaweb.com, he explained that the 5,000 people are all products of the NABCO (Nation Builders Corps) program.

According to Tika, the policy objective pursued by Akufo-Addo has been progressively achieved, with some beneficiaries already moving from a temporary arrangement to a permanent one.

He stated this during his appearance before the Parliament's Committee on Appointments in order to be considered as a candidate for the position of Deputy Minister of the Savannah Region.

More than 100,000 graduates have subscribed to the seven modules of the Nation Builder Corps (NABCO): Ghana Feed, Ghana Educate, Ghana Revenue, Ghana Heal, Ghana Enterprise, Digitize Ghana and Ghana Governance.

Tika was the first of three nominees proposed by the committee for various positions. If confirmed, he will be appointed Deputy Minister of the Savannah Region.
