The pay-per-view of the Elimination Chamber will take place on February 17, 2019 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. As usual, it will be another stop on "The Road to WrestleMania" and will consist of Raw and SmackDown matches.
The event is famous for its demonic structure called Elimination Chamber where six superstars enter and one superstar wins. This year, two games of the elimination chamber have been confirmed.
"The new" Daniel Bryan will defend his new environmentally friendly WWE Championship against AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe and Mustafa Ali inside the Elimination Chamber.
Another playoff game will crown the first ever Women's Team WWE Champion. Currently, three teams are qualified: Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka, The Riott Squad and Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.
In addition to these two games, Shane McMahon and The Miz will defend their titles against The Usos, winner of the Fatal match at 4 by defeating former champions The Bar, The New Day and Heavy Machinery on SmackDown Live.
Here are six other matches that could take place during the event.
# 6 Bobby Lashley (c) against Finn Bálor (Match for the Intercontinental Championship)
Finn Bálor was defeated by world champion Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble. After giving The Beast a competitive fight, The Extraordinary Man did not meet expectations and exploited the devastating blockage of Lesnar's submission, the Kimura Lock.
The following night at Raw, he was interrupted by intercontinental champion Bobby Lashley and his manager, Lio Rush, who felt that Bálor never deserved an opportunity to compete in the world championship. Then, Bálor ridiculed Lashley for about 12 seconds during the Royal Rumble match, which led Lashley to brutalize a wounded man.
This clearly leads to a feud between Lashley and Bálor for the intercontinental title, which should start paying for the session by the elimination chamber.
It would be a great opportunity to make Bálor the new intercontinental champion, as he could not win any major games last year, but at the same time, Lashley became champion two weeks ago at Raw. until WrestleMania.
