Kumasi Dagombaline Goro Violent Clash The clash is the result of a clash veiling

A violent clash on a disputed plot at Dagombaline in Kumasi resulted in seven serious injuries to the machete and two buildings as well as a burnt makeshift structure.

Some residents have also started fleeing the area under the municipality of Asokore Mampong for fear of reprisals, said our Ashanti Region correspondent, Ibrahim Abubakar.

The attack was triggered by an attempt by one of the two factions to abandon properties located on the disputed lands belonging to the other faction. It has been fiercely resisted to stone removal and what could be described as a free struggle for all warring factions.

"A police team called to restore calm was caught in the crossfire as the police received their fair share of the rock cuttings," said our correspondent.

Immediately after the departure of the police, the two buildings and the makeshift house structure were burned down, destroying properties estimated at thousands of Cedis.

The seven wounded people in the head, hands and other parts of the body with machetes were transported to the Manhyia government hospital for treatment.

According to our correspondents, the police still have not returned to the area after the fire structures.

Some residents, who fear for their lives, are also fleeing the area as tension is exacerbated.
