The death of seven members of a Catholic church in Akosombo, in the eastern region, was confirmed in a brutal accident in Asitey, in the suburb of Odumase Krobo.
Several others have also suffered various types of injuries.
The victims, three men and four women, were part of a group of more than 50 people returning to Akosombo after a funeral at Akim Oda.
They died on the spot after the bus they were traveling on dived into a valley on Asitey Mountain.
The injured, about fifty, were admitted to St. Martin De De Pores Hospital in Odumase and the Atua government hospital where they receive medical care.
