A 77 – year – old man, released despite a long history of violence against women, was convicted of an attack almost identical to the murder of his wife 40 years ago.
Albert Flick, considered too old to pose a threat after his release from prison, was again sentenced for an almost identical crime.
It took less than an hour for the Maine jurors to declare Albert Flick guilty of murdering a homeless mother, Kimberly Dobbie, murdered in 2018, who had been stabbed at least eleven times in front of her eyes. twins.
This crime is strangely similar to the murder that sent Flick into prison for 25 years in 1979, striking his wife Sandra Flick 14 times in front of her daughter.
Flick was released in 2004, but was sent back to prison in 2010 for badaulting another woman.
At the time, the judge ignored the recommendation for a longer sentence, saying that Flick would not pose a threat because of his age and that it made no sense to keep him locked up.

Flick was released four years later in 2014 and moved to Lewiston.
Prosecutors said they met Dobbie, 48, and loved her a lot, harbading her and feeding her at the homeless shelter where she was staying.
Deputy Attorney General Bud Ellis told the jury that Flick knew Dobbie was planning to leave the city and said, "If I can not get it, I'll kill her."
Two days before the murder, Flick had bought a pair of knives at a Walmart, prosecutors said.
He then attacked Dobbie in broad daylight in front of a laundromat, piercing his heart and lungs.
His twins, aged 11, witnessed the badbadination. He was also captured on surveillance images.

Elsie Clement, the woman who was a child when she saw Flick stab her mother to death, said the judge who released her was accountable to Dobbie's children.
"I would just like to see [everyone involved] online and stay there and say [Dobbie’s] the boys, explain to them how this man was on the street and how all is well, "Clement told the local NBC branch.
How does the law make sure that their mother is gone and that she is obliged to witness it? "
Flick will be sentenced in August 2019 and risk life behind bars.
