Education is a very important factor in people 's lives today, but it seems that a certain level of education is reserved for young people. However, some older people have shown that they are not too old to learn.
The University of Lagos held its 50th convocation ceremony on April 2, 2019. A 77-year-old retiree was among the graduates.
The woman identified as Bridget Obiageli Okonji was among the 12,843 students graduating at the ceremony.

Bridget earned a Bachelor of Education in Counseling and Counseling. In an interview with Vanguard, the elderly woman revealed that she had decided to go back to school to help society and avoid boredom as a retiree.
She says: "I am a retired officer and when you retire, you do not have to stay at home dying."
"It's better to go for education than to stay at home in old age, without doing anything for yourself or for society."
Speaking further, Bridget explained that education had no limit and that she was going from birth to death.

"Why I came for more education is to help society and encourage others who think they can not have an education because of their age. This is because education has no limit. That's from cradle to death. "
It is very commendable and would serve as an inspiration to the elderly.
