John Cena could perhaps call himself a medic in more than “Thuganomics” now.
WNEP’s Amanda Eustice spoke to an eight-year-old in Hazleton, Pa., Who used a technique he saw demonstrated by Cena during an episode of The substitute to help his sister while he was choking.
“We were going to my haircut and I noticed she was starting to choke on a McDonald’s chicken nugget,” Jaxson Dempsey said. “I told my dad to stop. Then I started patting him on the back, and it came out.
On the show, Cena explained how to perform CPR and other first aid techniques.
Matt Dempsey told Eustice he wasn’t sure his daughter, Lelia, would have done it if Jaxson hadn’t been in the car and acted quickly.
