According to the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), about 67 of the 81 central region LP gas stations would pose a high risk to life and property.

Addressing participants, Mr. Samuel Asare Bediako, coordinator of the Unified Oil Price Fund at NPA, who represented the Director General, recalled that more than 4,500 direct jobs would be created at the launch of CRM.

He added that the purpose of the customer relationship management system was to guide the marketing and distribution of LPG in a safe and efficient manner, in order to facilitate better access to LPG at the national level.

He also said that he also aimed to ensure safety and good environmental practices in the production, marketing and consumption of LPG, and "to ensure the sustainability of local supply and content and the participation in the LPG subsector in accordance with the downstream local content policy ".
