The air survey conducted by Elephants Without Borders in northern Botswana revealed four hotspots for poaching and 88 elephant carcbades showing signs of death by poachers.

Since the last wildlife survey four years ago, the number of carcbades has increased by 600%.

The government admits that poaching is taking place in Africa, but disputes allegations that elephants were killed, claiming that they died "of natural death".
