She lamented that some political parties had attacked the integrity of the commission whenever they were unable to solve their problems.

Perception
Ms Mensa said that the commission had begun to implement a number of reforms to ensure that political parties respect the agreed principles.
She added that public opinion should not swallow the perception of some political parties that the EC was not neutral because every action of the commission had been open to the public.
Ms. Mensa stated that the EC has never done anything secretly to guarantee a political party to qualify the commission as a "secret society".
She added that the commission would continue to engage with political parties on different platforms, including all-party advisory committee (IPAC) meetings, to ensure that their concerns are addressed.
"The Commission also proposes an agenda on which to work to dispel the doubts of some stakeholders about the transparency of the institution," said Ms Mensa.
Media partnership
The President of the European Commission stressed the need for the media to badist the commission in the implementation of its various electoral reforms.
She badured that the commission would open its doors to answer all questions concerning its operations.
"The commission has always considered the media as its number one actor, because without them, it will be extremely difficult to get in touch with the public," said Ms. Mensa.
