But two weeks ago, Asylum Pictures, a small budget studio, released their own feature film – Adventures of Aladdin. It is not a coincidence. This is the economic model of Asylum.
The commercial model of "mockbusters" is simple: make sophisticated imitation films that baffle viewers in search of Hollywood blockbusters.
