Kwadwo Asamoah, Inter Milan and Black Stars
The defender of Inter Milan Kwadwo Asamoah has been appointed deputy captain of the Black Stars.
Asamoah, 30, takes the place of Andre Ayew, who was raised by coach Kwesi Appiah to the rank of main captain.
The former Juventus player made his debut at the Black Stars in 2008 and played a key role in qualifying Ghana for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
The versatile player took a break from the Black Stars after the 2014 World Cup but has recently made himself available for a new selection.
He played 70 games with the Black Stars with four goals.
