A wedding guest is boiling after a bride has contacted her to ask for more money as a wedding gift.
The woman shared her experience on Twitter, explaining having received the rude phone call after attending a colleague's wedding in Europe.
The couple had asked for cash gifts so they would not have to carry large parcels home, but the guest was in trouble when she and her friends ran out of money in the small village that had no ATMs.
"We have not seen ATMs," she said in a tweet that has since been deleted. "Most taxis refused to take euros, so we literally only got the local currency to get back to the hotel and to the airport at 4am."
She explained that she and her friend had decided to pool the little money they had left, about 20 euros in an envelope, and to follow up with a "proper gift" once they returned home.

However, the bride was not about to wait, contacting the guest to let her know that the gift was not adequate.
"Did you enjoy our wedding and the time spent in Cluj? Has your friend benefited too? She asked her guest.
"You seemed to benefit a lot, but it was not reflected in your contribution to the costs of our marriage. The average contribution was 100 euros per person, while even 75 euros would suffice, "wrote the bride.
She then asked her guest to transfer the "difference", of a minimum of 125 euros, to the account of her and her new husband.
The angry guest summed up the situation in these terms: "It's safe to say I'm no longer friends with the creditor."
Internet users were divided on the subject, with some claiming that looking for a wedding gift was at best unbecoming, at worst downright rude.
"If someone can not afford to welcome people at a wedding, he should not invite them!", She replied.
Others have seen things from the bride's point of view that such a small gift was outrageous.
"Obviously, asking for more money is zero / unprecedented, but 5 euros for a wedding gift is insulting," insisted one commentator.
