NIA REGISTRATION FORMS
The attention of National Identification Authority (NNA) management has come to the knowledge that potential applicants for certain NIA registration centers are told that there is no application form for an identity card national or oath of identity form.
The result is that potential candidates are refused even if the centers have enough of these forms in stock.
In this regard, NIA wishes to inform the general public as follows:
1. The NIA has over 30 million forms in stock and provides each working day a sufficient number of copies to each registration center prior to the exercise.
2. There are enough forms to register every Ghanaian in the country and abroad, which is required by law to the NIA;
3. Adequate measures have been taken to ensure the efficient provision and safe retention of application forms and declaration of identity forms.
Any claim to the contrary by an NIA registration officer is false and may be used as a pretext to justify inappropriate conduct such as the extortion of desperate applicants in this registration center;
4. Claims for a shortage of forms in a registration center can only be artificial or simulated, and constitute misinformation of the public and unfair treatment of potential applicants.
Such conduct also discredits the name of the NIA.
As a result, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against recognized NIA officials involved in such behavior. Members of the public are urged to report to the police any extortion, corruption, corruption or any other offense or misconduct.
5. Each NNA coordinating registration officer is trained and charged with ensuring that supplies inventory, including application forms and identity forms, are adequate. in the center before and after registration, every day.
When stocks run out, the CRO has the duty to inform the district registrar, who then ensures that declining stocks are restored as soon as possible .
6. The mbad registration exercise is the first step required by law for the national identity register to be completed. At the end of the mbad registration exercise, the NIA will establish permanent offices for the regions and districts to continue registering Ghanaians.
7. The ongoing registration phase is also free for all applicants who register for the first time.
8. On average, a registration center can register a maximum of 120 candidates per day based on considerations such as the number of Mobile Registration Workstations (MRWs) in each center (3), the size of the population and working hours of each day (8:00 to 17:00);
9. The CROs were instructed to inform potential candidates of this fact. Therefore, candidates who can not register because of the ceiling will have to show up another day. and
10. The NIA wishes to badure the general public that it will record and issue maps of Ghana to all Ghanaians, whether during the mbad registration process or during the continuous registration phase, and respectfully requests all Ghanaians to cooperate with her.
