The Hoops beat the Hearts 2 to 1 to win the Scottish Cup on Saturday
Celtic gave Neil Lennon the role of permanent director after the final success of the Scottish Cup.
The Hoops beat Hearts 2-1 to complete the national hat-trick and thus clinched a "triple hat-trick" after winning nine rebounds in the past three seasons.
Celtic said on its Twitter feed: "We are delighted to announce that Neil Lennon has been offered the position of Permanent Director of Celtic FC and that the details will be confirmed in the coming days."
Lennon said in his post-game press conference: "There is a good chance that I'll accept the job.
"It's probably one of the best days of my life. You will never see him again. They are immortal now.
Lennon was appointed interim chief in February following Brendan Rodgers' decision to move to Leicester.
The Northern Irishman returned to the club where he had already won three titles, having left Hibernian in January.
Odsonne Edward was the hero as Celtic completed the hat trick by sinking Hearts at Hampden Park.
Ryan Edwards gave Hearts the advantage early in the second period, but Edward, the Hoops forward, equalized with a penalty just after the hour of play, before sending the winning goal back to eight minutes from the end.
Peter Lawwell, chief executive of Celtic, said on Hoops' Twitter account: "Neil took the lead when we needed him. He is a true Celtic who knows the club and the city.
"He is a winner with a fantastic eye for a player. I am pleased to announce that the position has been offered to him. "
