Kevin Gameiro and Rodrigo scored as valiant Valencia, defeating the Barcelona La Liga champions 2-1 to win the Copa del Rey.
Barcelona said that, in the wake, a win would help relieve some of the pain of defeat against Liverpool in the Champions League, but they once again lost confidence, to the heat of Seville.
French striker Gameiro unleashed a superb strike to give the advantage to Valencia before Rodrigo took the lead.
Lionel Messi's strike in the 73rd minute gave hope to Barca, but it failed.
