Kofi Kingston loves life at WWE right now. He is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at SmackDown after winning it at WrestleMania 35 in April as part of his first-ever title shot.
The 37-year-old spoke to The National before the last WWE event in Saudi Arabia, Super ShowDown, where he will defend his title against Dolph Ziggler.
Kingston spoke of his rise to the top after 11 years in the sector, his joy of being on the scene of major events and the reason he wants Brock Lesnar to cash his Money in the Bank briefcase on him.
After winning his first defense of the special title of the network against Kevin Owens
Kingston defeated Owens at WWE Money in the Bank on May 19th.
About the game, he said, "It was great because it's a goal for me, I've been waiting for a long time to be a WWE Champion, and now that I am, it's great to be able to enter in a show and know that you will participate in the main event.
"With a guy like Kevin Owens, I knew the game would be good because we are two guys who want to come out and steal the show every time we are on the pitch.
"Being on the European tour and participating every night for two weeks is what it's all about, that's what I've wanted for so long and seeing that sacrifice, commitment and hard work are profitable, good feeling. "
Thank you all for their concern. I am doing very well. At Smackdown, he made his statement. At the Super ShowDown, I'm going to do mine#WWESSD

Make sure he likes to be a champion
"It's really important, I want to perform to the best of my abilities every time, but I know it's a rare opportunity to spend a lot of time at the mic doing promos and telling stories, so I'm taking advantage of all.
"What you saw in London was a sincere smile, I'm just happy to do things that are the main event of the show.
"I like to be in this position and I hope to be here again a long time."
Why does he want to be the one Brock Lesnar pours into his MITB briefcase?
Brock Lesnar is the winner of the Money in the Bank briefcase and could win either Kingston or Seth Rollins, WWE Universal champion.
Kingston said that he sincerely hoped that Lesnar would come after his title.
"I've been working eleven years to get where I wanted to be but it's not the end of the trip," he said. "It's now the beginning of the trip and my goal is to be one of the greatest WWE champions of all time, to compete with big superstars and legends, and Brock Lesnar is without a doubt a legend Hall of Fame.
"For me, being in the ring with Brock Lesnar would be great – it's almost a stick to see where I am.
We fought at Beast in the East (in 2015) in a special network about four or five years ago.
"As a wrestler, performer and character, I have grown so much since then, so having a second chance, at this stage of my career, would be great.
"I'm really there, I hope that he will choose me, I think the match would be great, but it would be an incredible challenge for me to see where I stand as a starter." interpreter."
By winning the title at WrestleMania 35
"It's still as incredible as the first night.
"I think I was still amazed for the first two weeks, I felt about to wake up from a dream.
"I think about that, there were so many moments, it was great, so many people approached me to tell me what the game made them feel, it's so inspiring and humiliating.
"I'm just lucky to have been in this position with a guy like Daniel Bryan, who is one of the greatest of all time.
"Having the match against him was perfect, he was the ideal opponent in many ways, it always makes me feel good when I think about it and start talking about it."
On the future of the new day
Kingston is part of the New Day faction with Xavier Woods and Big E since the end of 2014.
They have already won the WWE title five times and Kingston is confident that the group will still have some great moments despite its singles success.
"We have been together for five years and it is always very entertaining.
I think we still have a long way to go and we can do so much to make people laugh, smile and have fun.
"To be able to have this success with two people whom I consider as brothers, and I mean that when I say it, it was incredible The more we are together, the more the relationship I realize is rare."
Back in Saudi Arabia for Super ShowDown
"Whenever we go to Arabia, the show gets bigger and bigger. It's almost like a second WrestleMania to be honest with you.
"The fireworks, the people who are there, the show, I like to go to Arabia.
"I had already told this story, but before I even attended a show, I went there to promote. I stayed there for seven days and it was one of the greatest experiences of my career at WWE.
"It was great to meet fans and people who dreamed of WWE coming to their country.
"Now, you are moving forward five years later and we now have such important events in Arabia and I have witnessed growth.
"Being part of it is really special and every time we go to Arabia, I look forward to it.The energy lies in the charts and is about making people smile.I look forward to it. return."
