Speaking about the purpose of his presence at the R20 summit, President Akufo-Addo badured his Austrian counterpart that Ghana was ready to face the phenomenon of climate change.

Climate change, the president stressed, is the biggest threat to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and has become a matter of grave concern to most world leaders because it has a huge impact on the fundamentals needed for survival of the human species the land, ie rising sea level, extreme and extreme weather conditions, such as droughts, floods and irregular rainfall, and desertification growing.
