The Honorable Adedoyin Adeyinka, leader of the Congress of Progressives (APC) in the state of Lagos, described the leader of the majority in the House of Representatives, the Honorable Femi Gbajabiamila, as a blessing for the country, urging Nigerians to help him become president of parliament in June.
Adeyinka, who spoke on Monday at the Alaka Children's Day celebration in Lagos in 2019, congratulated the member representing the constituency of Surulere 1 for meeting the expectations of his constituents.
"Allow me, Mr. President, to state some general positions. The face of Alaka, Celebration of Children's Day 2019, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, is a man of integrity, honor, reason and foresight. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila is a pride for Nigeria and a living testimony of the unlimited capacity of the black man. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila is a Surulere gift to the world. He is a Nigerian leader, a national leader. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila knows the basics. He has the will and the reader. He has the basic understanding of what people need.
For Adeyinka, Gbajabiamila, during his first, second, third and fourth terms in the House of Representatives, has carved out an enviable reputation as a firm, principled and visionary legislator.
"Femi Gbajabiamila has largely contributed to the socio-economic growth of the country. More specifically, the member representing Surulere's No. 1 constituency in the House of Representatives helped put the country on a path of socio-economic and political rediscovery. He attracted jobs, political appointments and federal projects to Surulere. "
He praised Gbajabiamila for his vision and selfless service to humanity.
Hon Femi Gbajabiamila demonstrated her philanthropic gesture by distributing no less than 501 computer tablets to high school students, 30 new buses, 25 tricycles and 160 motorcycles to her constituents. It has sanitized and stabilized democracy in Nigeria. He greatly contributed to the death of the debate on the third term. He brought the governance of the people closer. It has improved the quality of teaching in schools thanks to ICT tools. He has put in place various programs to improve the lives of his main constituents, "he said.
He revealed that Gbajabiamila had been named Hon Femi Gbajabiamila as the face of the Alaka Children's Day celebration in 2019 because of his outstanding legislative achievements and the empowerment of the people.
"Hon Femi Gbajabiamila was chosen for her achievements in the overall development of Nigeria, her coherence in the journey that aims to propel humanity to higher heights and her pbadion for issues concerning Nigeria. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila was also chosen because of her role in community development, capacity building and the invocation of the doctrine of necessity. "
Adeyinka said that Gbajabiamila had been voted in 2019 to touch the lives of the wonderful people of Surulere, attract the biggest and the greatest attention to the good people of Surulere and draw the attention of the government to the fate of Nigerians.
He said the 9th Assembly needed experienced and well-trained presidents to advance the country's interests.
"We want a House of Representatives to study bills that will help legally support many institutions, structures and reform programs of the government led by President Muhammadu Buhari. We want him to continue pursuing lofty goals for the betterment of society and the entire human race. We want it to encourage accountability in governance, basic human needs, regular electricity supply and intermodal transport. We want him to encourage a good educational system and a culture of constitutionalism. "
Adeyinka, a strong supporter of Gbajabiamila, said the Nigerians wanted the representative of the constituency of Surulere to ensure the independence of the National Assembly and the collaboration between all branches of government.
"We want him to support the current fight against corruption. We want him to develop youth and ensure that peace and prosperity reign at all times. We want it to address the issue of setting up standing committees. We want it to help build a viable nation and restore public confidence in the National Assembly as an institution. "
The leader of the APC party, whose speech was punctuated by intermittent chants of praise, said the population wanted Gbajabiamila to improve the living conditions of Nigerians, provide basic infrastructure and create jobs.
"We want our children to go to school. We want him to ensure that the responsibility for drafting laws in the National Assembly is carried out according to the best procedure, the best practice. It is in the interest of Nigerians, at home and abroad, to ensure the birth of the President of Gbajabiamila in June, because nothing else is comparable to him as an effective means of protecting the interests of all. "
Adeyinka however complained of those who objected to the offer of President of Gbajabiamila, saying that they did not wish Nigeria well.
"It may be sheepskin wolves who want all the legacies of President Muhammadu Buhari to have led the CPA administration to be wiped off the face of the earth. We must reject such people. They do not mean well for Nigeria. "
"We propose that Honi Femi Gbajabiamila, a model of good political etiquette, renowned for solving the most complicated political problems and who served his people with integrity, with his head held high and remaining faithful to the call and responsibilities that the people imposed on him, take the presidency of the House of Representatives as president in June ".
He also called on young Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of integrity to move the country forward.
"As we celebrate Children's Day, let's think very seriously about our future. Let's continue to keep our heads high and high. "
