Charlotte Osei is former president of the electoral commission
Ghana's former election commissioner, Charlotte Osei, arrived in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, to begin her mission at the United Nations.
Ms. Osei, who was sacked by President Nana Akufo-Addo in 2018 as President of the Ghana Electoral Commission (EC), was recently appointed Commissioner of International Elections in Afghanistan by the UN.
Afghanistan is expected to hold its presidential elections in September 2019.
Ms. Osei is one of the international advisers expected to support the work of the electoral management bodies in Afghanistan.
