MLS Week 13: Power Ranking: Rising Lumber and Dallas

The Portland Timbers are about to unveil their remodeled Providence Park, but before they do, they have added another victory to a wave that makes them very dangerous as the summer approaches.

The Timbers beat the Philadelphia Union to improve their record at 4-1-1 in the last six games, a frenetic pace reinforced by the recent arrival of Brian Fernandez. Saturday's win helped them to earn five places in the latest Goal MLS Power standings.

Real Salt Lake is another up-and-coming Western Conference team, having defeated Atlanta United on a last-minute winner of Jefferson Savarino, to allow him to win three straight wins over Mike Petke's team.

Teams in Ohio have struggled with FC Cincinnati and Columbus Crew 2-15 since April 13. The crew fell to the Colorado Rapids during the 13th week. York Red Bulls goaltender Luis Robles.

The loss took FC Cincinnati to last place in the last Goal Power ranking, in part because of Colorado's second consecutive victory, which allowed the Rapids to get out of the basement for the first time in two months.
