The Electoral Commission (EC) announced on Wednesday that it is broadening its consultation to key stakeholders in Ghana to demystify its operations and bring the citizens' commission closer together.

"The purpose of these consultations is to hear directly the concerns and concerns of key stakeholders regarding the Commission and its activities," the Commission said in a statement dated Thursday, May 29, 2019.

"In addition, the commitments will give the Electoral Commission an opportunity to inform stakeholders of its current activities and prospects for the future," he added.

The delegation is composed of Jean Mensa, Chair of the Commission, Dr. Bossman Eric Asare, Vice President of Corporate Services, and Samuel Tettey, Vice President of Operations and other Commissioners.

The Commission will meet with clergy, traditional leaders, former presidents and civil society, who have already visited several media, including Multimedia, Citi FM, Group of Companies, Graphic Communications Group and the United States. Ghana Journalists Association.

"It is hoped that at the end of these consultations, the Commission would not only have opened its doors and operations, but would have benefited enormously from the ideas and experience of the stakeholders," the Commission said.
